Tell Congress to Protect Head Start and Child Care for Our Kids
Since 2002, Head Start funding has been reduced by 11 percent forcing programs to cut hours, staff, and other vital services such as buying books. Frozen funding in FY 2008 means that 30,000 fewer children would receive Head Start services. It is time to reverse this trend in level funding and make child care a priority.
We hope that you will join us in our day of Action on Wednesday, March 14th, by telling Congress to Protect Head Start and Child Care.
Share this link with Head Start teachers, staff, parents, family and friends and urge them to send letters via this link. Feel free to modify the letter and share your personal stories. With a few quick clicks, you can send letters to your Representative and Senators and tell them where you stand on Head Start!
